Medium Youth Batik Shirt
These batiks were so fun to make, combining my love for art and gardening into one. To batik, I layer beeswax and dye to create images and the beeswax crackles and the dye sneaks through in the most satisfying way. I personally have adored batik from the moment I laid eyes on the art form and am happily working to improve my own batiking skills.
The shirts are true to size, and I have already pre shrunken them. To remove the beeswax, I boil the item of clothing, and the beeswax separates and rises the top. For longevity of the dye I do recommend to hang dry the item. Thanks for being here!
